Position Overview

The Technical service Engineer is responsible for support electronics team grow the business on application side, he is also carrying out the day to day research and testing activities at laboratory. This person will provide professional technical support like DOE, FA, New application development for HBF electronics product lines.

Primary Duties

  • Monthly Financial reporting, Budget and Outlook
  • Prepare a timely and detailed analysis of financial and operating results key variances against budget or outlook for monthly/quarterly reporting purposes.
  • Prepare and send monthly variance analysis report to assigned functional or cost center department for review.
  • Liase with all functional department excluding operation directly for quarterly forecast / annual budget and ensure timely submission.
  • Prepare and consolidate data compilation from respective department for quarterly outlook / annual budget timely submission.
  • Treasury and Import AP (Accounts Payable) management
  • Prepare monthly cash flows forecast to ensure efficient use of funds and adequacy of working capital.
  • Prepare monthly Bank and HRD Fund reconciliation.
  • Prepare Bank guarantee renewal and maintain Bank guarantee / LC outstanding report for quarterly reporting.
  • Checking and verifying all Import and intercompany AP invoices for AP department posting and payment processing arrangement.
  • Checking and verifying all AP payment before Finance manager approval.
  • Prepare all related journal voucher such as GST tax, audit, import related accruals and others for Finance manager review before posting in system.
  • Ensure that Import and intercompany AP sub-ledger are reconcile to GL balances on monthly basis.
  • Others
    • Prepare audited report, co-ordinate annual audit schedule exercise and ensure that submission are within the dateline.
    • Responsible for the timely submission of yearly tax returns and responding to any tax queries from the tax agents or corporate level.
    • Prepare monthly GST tax submission, corporate tax instalment and other related tax matters for AP payment processing arrangement.
    • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary and other professionals to ensure compliance with all matters relating to audit, tax and statutory requirements.
    • Review the SOX internal audit documentation of job assigned and conduct SOX self-testing for quarterly reporting purposes.
    • Assist in ad hoc projects and/or other assignment as requested by the management if needed.

Required Skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in finance/accounting.
  • 4-6 years audit experience will be an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years business/financial analysis experience, preferably with a multi-national organization;
  • With hands-on experience in reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis, with demonstrate ability to analyze data and present results
  • Good Excel. Power Point skills;
  • Good English both written and spoken
  • Familiar with relevant computer programs like Hyperion, Accpac and etc. SAP experience will be an added advantage.
  • Initiative, self-starter, result-oriented
  • Business Partnering and influencing skills; a track record of creating value added financial analysis for tangible results;
  • Willing to challenge status quo to continuously make improvement
